In Tāmaki Makaurau, Te Aho Tū Roa Poutautoko Pania Newton supports the Young Leaders Programme coordinated by Auckland Council.
This year’s wānanga was held at Papatuanuku Kōkiri Marae, where more than 45 students around Tāmaki attended during the April school holidays. The focus of the kaupapa is the taiao.
Activities included going out on the Manukau, haerenga kitea, wānanga, and guest speakers.
