Feeling proud of their mahi at Fairhall School.

The Wairau – Marlborough region has a very strong network of Enviroschools with all the region’s schools involved and a signifiant number of early childhood centres.   Learning about their local ecology at Fairhall School in Marlborough included making and installing whare wētā and whare pekapeka in the school ngahere in the hope that some Wairau – Marlborough locals would visit. Students also set tracking tunnels around the school to identify any presence of predators and helped raise funds for kārearea. Read more about this celebration of kaitiakitanga here.
